Updates for the 25-26 Season

Welcome to the 2025 – 2026 Winter Season! WVABBTS is committed to holding safe, efficient, and fun competitions this year. WVABBTS has a rich history of hosting competitions and this year will be no different. It takes us all to put on world-class competitions.

When we enroll our children in WVABBTS or Waterville Valley Academy, we make a commitment to support our athletes by donating our time to competition events hosted by WVABBTS. The intent of this program is to ensure all members contribute fairly to the support of our athletes by helping WVABBTS host events that create opportunities for our athletes to compete at their home mountain. By fairly distributing the effort needed to host an event, we can avoid having just a few volunteers taking on the majority of the effort, and our athletes receive a better more effectively run event.

In a continuing effort to make things simpler and more efficient, we will be using Crossbar's Volunteer system to sign-up for Volunteer Credits this year. There is no need to have a separate account for volunteering, you can simply use the Crossbar account you created when signing up your child for the program.

Important Clarification on Dibs – Please Read Carefully

Just a quick but crucial reminder: each event counts as one dib, regardless of how long it lasts.

Some events may be shorter than 6 hours, others may run much longer, even up to 8 hours or more. Occasionally, a race might even be canceled. None of these variations affect the dib count. One event = one dib. Period.

We understand that Crossbar breaks things down by hours, but WVABBTS does NOT operate that way. Our system is based strictly on the number of eventsnot the number of hours worked.

Thanks for staying on top of this and for all your continued support!

How many credits does my family need to complete? It is based on your OLDEST child’s program or the higher credit amount.

Volunteer program hours for the 25/26 season.

Crossbar records volunteer credits in hours not individual days. To simplify this each volunteer sign-up will be worth 6 hours. Here is the updated requirement list for 25/26 season.
