Development/"B" Program

Development "B" Program

This program is for young athletes who are interested in Freeskiing or Freestyle Skiing. At this point, athletes may have a preference for a particular event, moguls, or slopestyle, but specialization is not yet encouraged. Athletes will compete and train in both sports, freeskiing, and freestyle. The “B” program is sometimes referred to as the Devos

The WVBBTS Freestyle Mogul Program is designed for skiers who want to master the sport of mogul skiing. Waterville Valley Resort has a long history of freestyle skiing and has hosted several US Nationals and World Cup-level events in recent years.  WVBBTS has placed many athletes on the U.S. Ski Team, including Olympic gold medalist Hannah Kearney. Athletes will compete at various US Ski & Snowboard Single & Dual moguls events every year, including the Hannah Kearney Klassic hosted at Waterville Valley

Freeskiing Disciplines

 Slopestyle

Slopestyle is a discipline of Freeskiing. Slopestyle focuses on park skiing, hitting jumps, going off rails, etc. Athletes will compete in USASA rail jams and big air competitions throughout the year.

Waterville Valley BBTS has a storied history in placing athletes on the US Freeski Team - including Grace & Hunter Henderson. In 2019, WVBBTS was named the US Ski & Snowboard Freeski Club of the Year.
