Since students are taught the curriculum of
their home school while attending WVA, WVA has
found that the closer the coordination and the
better the communication between WVA and the
home school, the easier it is for the student to
make a seamless transition into WVA, to make a
seamless transition back to the home school and
to achieve his or her academic goals during his
or her stay at WVA. WVA recognizes that each
home school operates differently, so it
maintains maximum flexibility in coordinating
its academic activities with home schools. This
could range anywhere from (i) the home school
providing the text book, a detailed curriculum
and all projects, homework assignments and tests
to be administered while at WVA to (ii) the home
school simply providing only the text book and
an outline of the curriculum.
