WVA History

Waterville Valley Academy was founded in 1972.  WVA is operated by the Waterville Valley Black and Blue Trail Smashers Ski Educational Foundation (WVBBTS), a 501(c)(3) non-profit education foundation.  WVBBTS also operates the BBTS Ski Club, a weekend training program for alpine, freestyle and snowboard athletes ages five and up.  The BBTS Ski Club, organized in 1934, is one of the oldest ski clubs in the country.
