Students follow a very
rigorous schedule while attending WVA. Classes
are held Monday through Friday with each school
day consisting of five 50 minute class periods.
Since each student’s academic schedule consists
of a total of 7 class periods, the class
schedule is rotated on a daily basis (with two
periods rotating out each school day). To the
extent that the home school curriculum consists
of less than seven classes, the student is
provided with supervised study hall periods
during class periods when there are no classes.
Monday afternoon is an
extended study hall during which students can
conduct science labs or library research at
Plymouth State University or do special projects
and assignments. On Tuesday through Friday
afternoons, students spend three hours training
on snow, followed by recovery and/or
conditioning exercises, dinner and study hall.
On Saturday and Sunday, students take part in
day long training sessions and competitions.

When a student is away for
a mid-week competition or a special training
opportunity, his or her teachers will provide
assignments to be done while away. WVA staff
who are supervising students on these trips will
monitor student study time.
