Waterville Valley Academy

Nestled in the quaint mountain village of Waterville Valley, New Hampshire in the heart of the White Mountain National Forest with Waterville Valley Ski Area as its home training ground lies Waterville Valley Academy.  The Academy is a five month snowsports and academic academy for 6^th-12^th graders who are pursing the highest level of performance in alpine racing, freestyle skiing and snowboarding in parallel with their academic studies.

Waterville Valley Academy is very proud of the accomplishments of its student athletes and “alumni”.  Highlights of the 2004/2005 season alone include the following:

• WVA 2004/2005 athlete college acceptances include University of Vermont, St. Lawrence University, Middlebury College, Roger Williams University, Pacific University, Evergreen State College, Lynchburg College, Keene State College, New England College, Green Mountain College, Colby College, Bates College, St. Michael's College, University of New Hampshire, Plymouth State University

• WVA alpine athlete named to US Ski Team D Team and Junior World Team

• WVA alpine athlete named to Eastern Regional Ski Team

• WVA alpine athlete wins overall gold medal at the JIII Junior Olympics

• WVA freestyle athlete wins overall gold medal at USSA Freestyle Junior Olympics

• WVA freestyle athlete wins men's aerials at USSA Freestyle Junior Olympics

• WVA freestyle athlete wins women's halfpipe at USSA Freestyle Junior Olympics

• WVA freestyle athlete is USSA National Halfpipe Champion

• WVA alumni make US Snowboard Team in Alpine and Freestyle

• WVA riders make Junior National Team

• WVA alumnus takes 5th at World Cup in Chile
