About Waterville Valley Academy
Waterville Valley Academy (WVA) is a snowsports and academic academy located in Waterville Valley, New Hampshire designed for full time student athletes in grades 6-12 who are dedicated to pursuing the highest level of performance in alpine racing, freestyle skiing and snowboarding in parallel with an individualized academic program. WVA seamlessly integrates each WVA student’s home school curriculum (via 1:1 or 1:2 WVA faculty driven individualized studies) with his or her athletic training and competition schedule. WVA students reside at the WVA dormitory or other nearby locations. Over the past six years WVA has enrolled students from over 20 states and several foreign countries representing over 110 home schools. WVA has approximately 70 students.

Waterville Valley Academy History
Waterville Valley Academy was founded in 1972. WVA is operated by the Waterville Valley Black and Blue Trail Smashers Snowsports Educational Foundation (WVBBTS), a 501(c)(3) non-profit education foundation. WVBBTS also operates the BBTS Ski Club, a weekend training program for alpine, freestyle and snowboard athletes ages five and up. The BBTS Ski Club, organized in 1934, is one of the oldest ski clubs in the country.

2017 Experience the Academy Camp
Dates: January 23-27, 2017 (lodging check-in January Monday the 23rd)
4 Day Camp includes coaching and lunch $440
4 Day Camp with Lodging (includes breakfast and dinner) $740
Lift tickets are not included but a 4-day ticket may be added to either option listed above for $120.
Note: For those who attend this camp and apply to WVA for the 2017-18 year, the $50.00 academy application fee will be waived.
Who: Open to all interested Alpine, Snowboard and Freestyle athletes, entering Grades 6-12 (for the 2017-18 school year)
Details: This 4-day camp is designed to give each athlete a true academic and athletic experience at Waterville Valley Academy. You will be a part of the WVA team, training both on and off the snow with WVA student-athletes under the eyes of our world class coaches. When off the snow you will experience our academic program via our direct instruction model (1:1) at WVA. Experience being part of a full time training program and see how WVA can help take your skiing to the next level, all while keeping a focus on your academic goals.
Students attending this camp should bring all assignments and work from their school. There will be designated study hall time with supervision to complete assigned work.
