The WVBBTS snowboard
coaching staff is one of the most highly
recognized snowboard coaching staffs in the
country and includes a former Olympian and former World Cup
competitors and National Champions. WVBBTS
riders also enjoy a guest coaching staff of
former WVBBTS student athletes from time to time
who are currently competing world-wide at the
World Cup level.

Director and Head Coach - Bill Enos - Bill is a former US
Snowboard Team member and was ranked in the top
10 snowboarders worldwide for 3 consecutive
years. Bill joined WVBBTS in 1998.

Coach
- Pete Thorndike - Formerly Head
Snowboard Coach and Director of Events at
Whaleback Mountain, Pete hosted and helped run
the Central Vermont USASA Snowboard Series.
Pete is a former US Snowboard Team member, has
had over 50 World Cup starts and was a 2002
Winter Olympics competitor. Pete was also
a four time USSA National Champion in alpine and
freestyle, 1996 Junior World Champion, 1997 Pro
Tour overall winner and had 3 top ten finishes
in the FIS World Championships.
Full Time Snowboard Coach-
Sam Harding
- Sam is a
graduate of Plymouth State University where he
earned a degree in Physical Education with a
minor in Health Education. Sam has been
riding for 11 years. This is Sam’s
sixth
season coaching the WVBBTS Snowboard Team. Off
season Sam does triathlons and enjoys playing
lacrosse, rock
climbing, hiking and surfing.
Weekend Coaches
John Frowley-John
is a Campton local who has been riding for six
years, the last four years he has been enrolled
in the BBTS Weekend Snowboard Program as an
athlete. John is eager to pass the knowledge he
has gained from the BBTS coaches over the years.
As an education major at Plymouth State
University, John will be applying some of his
new knowledge of teaching to the BBTS Groms
Program this year.
Gram Hoffman-Graham
has been riding for eleven years and has been
competing for eight. His many achievements in
snowboarding have landed him multiple
sponsorships. Currently he is riding for Flow
Snowboards and Von Zipper. Gram will be working
with our women's team this year.
John Ingham-John's
snowboard career began 10 years ago, riding at
Waterville and Loon Mt. Over the years his
snowboarding has progressed from all mountain
riding to park riding to competitions. In the
last five years John has been competing in
slopestyles, rail jams and big air competitions
around New England. We are excited to have him
on-board the WVBBTS snowboard coaching staff
this year.
Kevin Matte-Kevin
brings with him thirteen years of riding
experience. Throughout his years of riding he
has competed in the New Hampshire USASA Series
events and USASA Nationals. Kevin is exited to
be working with our young riders, where he
will be passing on his solid understanding of
the fundamentals of snowboarding.
